Tamarindo is a blur. A hot, sandy, salty, and boozy blur. We only had three full days here, and with another hostel (Casa Aura) right on the beach, we decided to make the most of it! We layed in hammocks, read, journaled, and enjoy the sunshine. We swam in the Pacific Ocean for the first time since Australia. And we spent a whole day surfing, swimming, and lounging on the beach. It was totally gnarly. The town is small, so it was easy to walk around and do a little window shopping and real shopping :) In the evenings, we watched the sun set over the ocean and enjoyed happy hour drinks. We found out "two for one" means they just give you giant drinks instead of two small ones, which was okay with us. We met a couple, one of whom was from Colombia and taught us to dance to the latin music. We still suck, but that's okay. We usually like to have a private room at hostels, but this time we decided to sleep in a dorm room. Our second night there, we made another friend, Chloe. We got dinner and drinks with her and talked about life. She is actually STILL spending some much needed time in this paradise. Mostly, we enjoyed the heat (trying to crisp up before returning to the great white north) and the ocean. Like I said, it was totally gnarly.
Side note, Casa Aura's Gallo pinto was on point!!!
Tamarindo was our last stop on this trip abroad. Next stop, Southwest US with friends :)
